Pruning Small trees

We use hand pruners, and hedge shears to maintain the shrubs and trees so they project a neat and beautiful landscape all year long.

Our first step is to cut back excessively long branches. We clip them off where a leaf emerges back on the stem near the main mass of foliage. Avoiding making them all identical lengths.

We reach deep within the dense tangle of branches, clip off particularly large or twiggy ones to the point where they join a main branch.
Once its general shape is established, we give the shrub a final once-over, making sure no branches rub against walls or tangle in nearby plants.
